Edgy
2014 | Kaza Concrete
Edgy is a three-dimensional tile. The aim was to provide an alternative to the flat, two dimensional walls in bathrooms and other living quarters. The form is made up of asymmetrical surfaces, 'folding' onto one plane, to form a hexagonal base.
By playing with concave and convex planes and using them to accentuate one another, it creates the effect of visually pulling the user towards itself. Because of edgy’s asymmetry, the tiles can be positioned in a number of different ways to achieve various effects.
